
Kelsey Chegus

Kelsey has over 10 years experience in energy management and sustainable development and she currently works to support the energy efficiency industry in Alberta as Associate Director, Trade Allies with Energy Efficiency Alberta. Her passion for sustainable energy solutions grew from her experience in Ghana with Engineers Without Borders – Canada where she worked with communities without access to electricity. In Canada, she has worked with remote communities in the Northwest Territories as a community energy planning coordinator with the Arctic Energy Alliance and she has worked with technology innovators through her roles with Decentralised Energy Canada. Before taking on her current position she also spent four years in engineering consulting including working on mechanical and building science projects, energy modelling, and energy analysis for existing buildings. She has a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.
